When Outlook reminders are too easy to overlook
Outlook reminder behavior can vary by browser, operating system, and notification settings. Even when a reminder appears correctly, a brief notification can be buried behind focused work or dismissed before you act.
Meeting Guardian provides a dedicated alarm workflow for imported Outlook events. It does not replace Outlook or Microsoft 365; it adds a browser-based attention layer for meetings that matter.
How Outlook calendar sync works
You authorize Meeting Guardian through Microsoft's official OAuth flow. The app requests read-only calendar access and imports upcoming timed events from the connected default calendar. It can use meeting links included in event data to provide a convenient join action.
Manual resync is available from Settings. Pro accounts can use automatic sync and connect multiple Google or Microsoft accounts, subject to plan limits.
Control and security
Microsoft authorization tokens are encrypted at rest. Disconnecting the account stops sync, removes imported meetings for that connection, and clears the stored tokens. Meeting Guardian does not create, edit, or delete Outlook events.

- Does Meeting Guardian work with Microsoft 365 calendars?
- Yes. It connects through Microsoft Graph using delegated read-only calendar access for supported Outlook and Microsoft 365 accounts.
- Does it replace Outlook reminders?
- No. Outlook remains your calendar. Meeting Guardian adds a separate browser alarm layer for imported meetings.
- Can it open Microsoft Teams meeting links?
- If a supported Teams link is present in the imported event data, Meeting Guardian can present it as a join action. This is not a direct Teams account integration.
- Does the alarm run with the browser closed?
- No. Keep a Meeting Guardian tab open. Browser and device settings also affect optional system notifications.
